Jordan Brand Unveils New Sneakers For Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade & Chris Paul

It’s that time of year again. Despite the fact that the NBA lockout continues to hang over all of our heads (can you guys please just end it already?), sneaker companies are starting to roll out previews for their new signature sneakers as rec leagues all over the country prepare to tip off and kids clamor for a pair of new sneaks. A couple of weeks ago, we showed you the new Nike LeBron 9, which is set to hit stores soon. And now, three other NBA superstars are showing off the new additions to their collections—and all three just so happen to be from the Jordan Brand.
For Carmelo Anthony, Jordan Brand reveealed a first look at the Melo M8 this week, ‘Melo’s eighth signature sneaker. Designed to withstand the beating that a forward usually gives his sneakers, the Melo 8 features Max Air in the heel as well as a thicker sole than most other sneakers have to give you durability and stability on the court. The sneaker is going to be available in five different colorways and drops in November.
For Dwyane Wade, Jordan Brand revealed a first look at the Fly Wade 2, the second signature sneaker D-Wade has through Jordan. Though it looks a whole lot like the Fly Wade that dropped earlier this year, it features Wade’s new “W” logo, a foam midsole, and a sleek design that should play to Wade’s strengths on the court as a slasher. It’ll be available in four different colorways and drops in December.
And for Chris Wade, Jordan Brand released a first look at the CP3.V, Paul’s fifth signature sneaker. Equipped with a Podulon cushioning system and a Flywire/mesh upper, it’s supposed to help those who use their quickness on the court like CP3 to get around more easily. It’ll drop in three different colorways and it launches in January 2012.
You might not be able to watch the NBA right now—or anytime soon, for that matter—but that doesn’t mean your favorite NBA players aren’t making moves.
